Nancy has worked with students with challenging behavior since 1992 and worked in public schools for over ten years as a behavior specialist, a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology, and an administrator in special education. She provided assessment, behavioral consultation, parent training, in-home training, and staff development. Nancy continues to consult with school districts on behavioral issues, provide staff development and present parent workshops. She also presents workshops for support groups, community organizations, and corporations. Participants in Nancy’s workshops always remark on the practicality of the information she presents, her down-to-earth manner, and her ability to connect with her audiences. Marcia Rohrer was a special education teacher for 24 years working in resource classes and self-contained classes, as well as assisting students in inclusion settings. She was a founding member of a district-wide team of professionals who provided services to parents and teachers to help their students with autism achieve success. In addition to serving as an in-home and parent trainer, she has presented numerous workshops and in-services to parents and educators. Marcia’s special interest is teaching parents and teachers the importance of using visual strategies and ways to structure the classroom and home to increase student success. For her last five years in public schools, Nannette was a member of a district autism support team providing in home and parent training services, consulting with educational staff and parents, and serving as a liaison between parents and school personnel. She has presented in-services to educational staff and workshops to parents on numerous topics related to autism. Her special area of emphasis has been assisting students and their families with the transition process from elementary to intermediate school. In addition to her work in public schools, Nannette has special training as a mediator in dispute resolutions from the University of Houston Law Center. ![]() Jenn Zapata, of Friendswood, Texas, is a busy mom who works in an educational capacity as a social skills coach for Behavior Plus and as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) for Pearland ISD. She received her Masters in School Psychology from the University of Houston- Clear Lake and found much joy in serving the needs of students in both Alvin ISD, where she completed her internship, and Pearland ISD until June, 2007. As a social skills coach, Jenn enjoys teaching students how to decipher social situations and better understand social nuances while also improving their self-advocacy skills and independence. |
Cynthia
King is a licensed Speech/Language Pathologist. She has a Master's
degree in the field of speech and Language pathology from the University of
North Texas. She is retired from the Clear Creek School
District, where she practiced as a Speech/Language Pathologist for 14 years.
She has a total of 36 years of experience as an SLP in public schools.Cynthia has worked with children who have been diagnosed with significant problems in articulation, receptive and expressive language, voice fluency, and social skills. While she enjoys working with children who struggle in the above areas of speech and language, she especially enjoys working with those students who have difficulty relating appropriately in social settings.

Jimmie
Sue Siptak earned her Bachelor of Science Degree (1967) in Home
Economics/Textiles from North Texas State University and her Master's Degree
(1974) in Guidance and Counseling from Texas A&I University. She is
also a graduate of the Art Therapy Program at the University of
Houston-Clear Lake. Jimmie Sue has been a Licensed Professional
Counselor since 1983 and has 38 years of experience in education working
with students of all ages and their parents. She is very knowledgeable
about the social/emotional development of children as well as their academic
development. She has had extensive training with issues related to
Learning Differences, ADHD, Divorce/Blended Families, and Grief/Loss issues.
Jimmie Sue enjoys using expressive therapy techniques such as art, drama, and music with children. She believes that "play" is the way that children communicate and learn. Her private practice includes working with children, parents, and women's issues.

Janis Finch earned an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Texas Tech University and a Masters degree in Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado. She has taught children in grades pre-school through 8th grade as a resource and special education teacher in public and private schools for over 20 years. Janis specializes in tutoring students who need to increase their skills in reading, writing and math. She believes in using positive reinforcement and multi-sensory methods to help students achieve their potential in areas in which they may be struggling. One of her greatest joys is seeing students feel good about themselves and their ability to learn.

Tricia
DelBello enjoys being a stay at home mom while working part time at
Behavior Plus. She worked for 12 years in Pearland ISD as an Elementary
School Counselor and before that was a third grade teacher for 4 years
in Pasadena. Tricia earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education at
University of Houston and her Master's Degree in Counseling at
University of Houston-Clear Lake.
Tricia has helped students overcome a variety of social, emotional and behavioral obstacles. She always tries to instill in students that regardless and sometimes because of their situation, they are very important and special individuals.
